This poster was inspired by the Time Magazine photoshoot Lewis Hamilton did to honor his move to Ferrari from Mercedes. The imagery was so strong that I wanted to create something with it. I added different textures to give it a photocopy vibe.
I also wanted to create something I could print and wear.
Design Rationale
As stated, I was inspired by the Time Magazine photoshoot, so I implemented those images.
Also, Lewis took pictures with a Black Stallion in that photo shoot. Since the horse is the symbol of Ferrari, I knew I wanted to include it there.
The colors are Ferarri red and black.
The quotes are from Lewis himself.
I included the years that Lewis won the World Driver Championships and added #8 as a TBD for balance purposes.
I chose two typographic display fonts that were classy but bold. It suits Lewis' personality. I went for a basic sans serif for the body copy to balance the bold fonts.
